Link Legal India Law Services represented Nellore International Airport Private Limited (a special purpose vehicle incorporated by the selected bidder consortium comprising SCL Infratech Limited and Turbo Projects Private Limited) to win the concession rights from the Andhra Pradesh Airports Development Corporation Limited (APADCL) to develop a greenfield international airport in Dagadarthi, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh on a public-private partnership basis. The concession agreement between the parties was executed on June 21, 2018. The airport will be developed on 1,352 acres of land, proposed handling capacity of 1.9 million passengers and 55,000 metric tonnes of cargo per annum, runway length of 3,150 m to handle category 4E wide body passenger and cargo aircraft operations, and will be the first airport project to be developed in the new state of Andhra Pradesh on PPP basis. The airport is scheduled to commence commercial operations around 2020 and is poised to enhance the connectivity of the region around Nellore district and also serve as a cargo hub for the region.

Recently Link Legal also represented the Fairfax led Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) in execution of the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract worth INR 1,350 crores (USD 203 million) with Larsen & Toubro Limited for construction of the new south parallel runway, apron and associated works at the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
