Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm won the Legal Award in the nomination Law Firm of the Year in International Trade. The winners of Legal Awards 2021 were announced on 4 June 2021 in Kyiv, Ukraine.
The International Trade practice of Ilyashev & Partners has been awarded the Legal Award in Ukraine for the third time in five years.
All projects handled by the International Trade practice of Ilyashev & Partners are practice and precedent creating. In particular, in 2020, Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm was the first in Ukraine to secure the application of a preliminary anti-dumping and special duty, and represented interests in the first dispute under the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in connection with the introduction by Ukraine of a moratorium onto the exports of unprocessed timber (rough logs).
Five out of nine trade investigations and three out of four special investigations initiated in Ukraine in 2020 have been commenced under complaints prepared by Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm. At the same time, all projects handled by the law firm were accomplished in favor of the firm’s clients.
In 2021, the Legal Awards were given in 52 nominations; the representatives of more than 65 Ukrainian law firms competed to get one. In total, about 300 nomination forms were submitted for consideration by the Nomination Commission. The event was organized by the Yurydychna Praktyka Publishing House.
