MINNESOTA — Vicente LLP is pleased to announce that leading Minnesota cannabis attorney Jason Tarasek will join Vicente LLP as counsel on June 1, 2023. His Minnesota Cannabis Law practice will become Vicente’s new Minneapolis office and continue to service its new and current clients as the firm expands operations across Minnesota and the surrounding region.

Tarasek joins the firm just as Minnesota is taking the historic step of ending marijuana prohibition. Gov. Tim Walz is expected to sign HF 100 into law next week, making Minnesota the 23rd state in the nation to legalize cannabis for adult use.
“Jason built Minnesota Cannabis Law from scratch into a premier cannabis law practice and leader in the cannabis business community,” added Vicente. “His extensive experience and deep understanding of the state’s legal and regulatory landscapes will play a critical role in Vicente’s continued growth in Minnesota and the surrounding region.”
Jason is co-founder of Minnesotans for Responsible Marijuana Regulation, a multi-partisan advocacy group formed to support marijuana legalization. MRMR is one of three groups that joined forces to launch the MNISREADY Coalition, which has been instrumental in shaping adult-use marijuana legislation this year.
