King & Wood Mallesons’ London-based dispute resolution team is strengthening its dispute resolution practice with the promotion of Wilson Antoon to Of Counsel, with effect from 17 September 2018.

Wilson is a commercial litigation and international arbitration specialist with over 10 years’ experience representing financial institutions, governments, publicly listed companies and high net worth individuals. He has acted as advisor and advocate in complex, high value disputes. Most recently Wilson, with Andrei Yakovlev, led the team advising the Kyrgyz Republic in its suite of investor-state disputes, including successfully overturning an UNCITRAL award in the Paris Court of Appeal on public policy grounds. Wilson joined KWM in Sydney in 2008 and relocated to London’s disputes team in 2014. He is admitted to practice in England and Wales and Australia.

Wang Rongkang, Managing Partner of KWM EUME, said: “I am delighted to congratulate Wilson on his promotion to Of Counsel. I am extremely pleased to see him develop his practice and grow with the firm.”

Dispute Resolution and Arbitration Partner, Dorothy Murray comments: “Wilson is an extremely able lawyer, who is rightly described by clients as dedicated to his cases, and really commercial. This promotion will give him the opportunity to further develop his practice and client relationships. He will play an important part in developing the firm’s dispute resolution practice in London.”

Darren Roiser KWM London Managing Partner said: “Wilson is a very hard working and tenacious litigator and arbitrator. His ambition and energy resonate with KWM London’s direction and growth. We are very proud of Wilson’s achievements and support him going from strength and strength.”
