King & Wood Mallesons London-based corporate team led by partners Joseph Newitt and Mike Wang acted for Wendy Yu, of Hong-Kong based Yu Holdings, in its investment in fashion label, Cefinn.
Founded by Samantha Cameron in 2017, Cefinn is a London-based label creating elegant, effortless, everyday fashion for the multi-tasking urban woman. The recent fund-raising round for the clothing company, which was said to be “quickly and heavily” oversubscribed secured £2.5 million.
Cefinn’s collections are sold online via its own website Cefinn.com as well as on online luxury fashion retailers YOOX NET-A-PORTER and matchesfashion.com and through concessions and department stores including Selfridges.
In addition to Wendy Yu, of Hong-Kong based Yu Holdings, other new backers include Havisham Investments, Brightwell Partners, and fashion and technology entrepreneur Claudia Harding. Original investor, Venrex Investment Management, also participated in this fund-raising round.
