On 1 January 2026, Ruud Schepers was appointed partner in the Employment Law team of Kennedy Van der Laan.
Ruud has been working with the firm as an employment law attorney since 2016. He advises and represents large Dutch employers and multinationals in both individual and collective employment law matters. He specializes in topical themes, such as working with self-employed persons and the impact of AI in the workplace. He recently appeared in the TV program Nieuwsuur to discuss the first topic.
Besides his advisory and litigation practice, Ruud works together with the LegalTech team on the development of innovative tools for employers, including reorganisation tools and solutions for standard documentation. This way he supports the further professionalisation and simplification of legal processes.
Ruud is a socially responsible person also outside his daily work. During the corona crisis, he co-founded the Foundation Care After Work in Corona Care (ZWiC), which provided financial support to over 200 healthcare workers (or their bereaved families) who worked on the front line.
Chris Nekeman, Employment Law partner:
“Ruud is a passionate employment lawyer who can easily translate thorough knowledge into practical solutions. With his keen eye and renewing ideas, he has been invaluable to our firm in the past years.”
We expect that Ruud’s appointment to partner will help our employment law practice develop further and that Ruud will keep contributing greatly to the growth of Kennedy Van der Laan.
