Hanne van ’t Klooster has joined Kennedy Van der Laan as a Partner in Corporate M&A with effect from 1 February. She will focus on the continued development of the firm’s venture capital practice, a key growth area for the Amsterdam-based law firm.

Hanne advises funds and corporates on venture capital transactions and corporate M&A, with particular experience in investment rounds and growth financing. Her practice centres on technology- and impact-driven businesses, spanning sectors such as cleantech, bio- and healthtech, fintech and next-generation enterprise technology. She joins from Van Doorne, where she previously led the firm’s London office. Hanne has also worked at Kennedy Van der Laan before, from 2017 to 2020.

The appointment reflects the continued growth of Kennedy Van der Laan’s M&A practice, driven in particular by activity in the technology and innovation sectors, areas in which the firm has built a strong reputation since its foundation.

Commenting on the appointments, Jan-Willem Siebers, CEO of Kennedy Van der Laan, said:

“We are seeing a clear shift among investors and founders towards impact-led growth strategies. The arrival of Hanne and Nelly further strengthens our M&A and venture capital capabilities and enhances our ability to support founders and investors as they scale. Our ambition is to help build businesses that combine commercial success with meaningful impact.”
