Reflecting our firm’s commitment to investing in the future and the depth of our team’s talent, Patrikios Pavlou & Associates LLC promoted Katerina Philippidou and Theodoros Symeonides to Partners, with effect from 1 January 2021.
Katerina and Theodoros have proven to be two notable practitioners and highly committed individuals, distinguished for their professionalism and work ethic. They stand out for their exceptional legal skills and efficiency, multilateral offering and dedication in delivering excellent results. They are regarded as two trustworthy and capable representatives of our firm in Court, with strong leadership skills. Katerina and Theodoros meet all the criteria to be Partners.
Katerina holds an LLB Degree from the University of Leicester (2006) and is a barrister at law (Lincoln’s Inn 2007). Further to her admission to the Cyprus Bar Association (2008) she acquired an LLM in International Financial law from King’s College London (2009). She specializes in civil and commercial local and multi-jurisdictional litigation, including shareholder disputes, recognition and enforcement of foreign judgements and arbitral awards, injunctive reliefs and arbitration proceedings, as well as insolvency and receivership proceedings. She authored several articles on anti-money laundering, International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution matters.
Theodoros obtained an LLB Degree from the University of Sheffield and an LLM in Law and Economics from the University College London. He completed the LPC in Nottingham Law School (2012) and he was admitted to the Cyprus Bar in 2013. Theodoros advises and represents both local and international high-profile clients before the Cyprus Courts and specializes in international commercial and corporate disputes, including proceedings for the issue of interim freezing injunctions, international arbitration and insolvency matters. He co-authored various articles on Arbitration and Dispute Resolution, and also on Shipping and Maritime Law.
