Karuna manages the firm’s individual case unit. She partners closely with both companies and individuals, to provide custom immigration solutions. In working with corporate clients, Karuna assists with all aspects of U.S. business immigration, including various employment-based nonimmigrant visas, petitions for permanent residence, PERM labor certification, adjustment of status, and related immigration strategies.

Karuna has extensive experience in family-based immigration and represents foreign nationals at all stages of their immigration process, from family-based immigrant visas such as I-130 Petitions for Immediate Relatives and other qualified Family Members, K-1 Fiancé Petitions to adjustment of status interviews, consular processing, and all the way through to attaining U.S. Citizenship.

As part of the EB-5 team, Karuna has assisted hundreds of immigrant investors to successfully navigate the EB-5 Investor Visa Program. With years of experience in EB-5, she has prepared hundreds of I-526 petitions for clients from several countries such as India, South Africa, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and China. Karuna is often called on to review petitions, Request for Evidence (RFEs), and Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs) for other law firms.

As part of the EB-1 team, Karuna works with companies and individual clients in the filing petitions for multinational managers and executives, aliens with extraordinary ability, outstanding researchers, and those whose work would be in the national interest.

Karuna received her Master’s in Law Degree (LLM) from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, and her Bachelor of Legal Science and Bachelor of Legislative Law (B.L.S., LLB) from Government Law College, Mumbai, India. Before migrating to the U.S., Karuna was a practicing attorney in India, with over 9 years of diverse experience including corporate law, litigation, and complex real estate matters. She is an active member in American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
