On June 20, 2024, Asian Legal Business (ALB) announced its 2024 list of rising lawyers in China. ALB recognized 15 young lawyers for their outstanding performances and great reputation, who are growing into future industry leaders. JunHe partner SUN, Jiangang (Roy) was honored on the list.

In 2006, Mr. Sun joined JunHe and transitioned from a judicial role to the field of foreign-related legal services. Over the past decade, he has handled numerous corporate mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment, and private equity projects. He represented Tencent in its strategic investment in Pinduoduo and he represented Wolong Group in its global strategic joint venture for automotive motors with Germany's ZF Group. Mr. Sun also represented Wagas in receiving a strategic investment from Advent. In response to changes in Chinese law and the market environment, he conducted a series of innovative studies in the field of foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and provided professional legal services to dozens of internationally renowned NGOs. Mr. Sun assisted the Institute of Management Accountants in obtaining the first NGO registration certificate in China's accounting industry and helped The J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Foundation become the first cultural and tourism NGO to establish a presence in Shanghai. Mr. Sun insists on providing public services through platforms such as bar associations and political and law schools. He is proud to spread his belief in the rule of law and share his insights and experience with other young lawyers and law students.
