Paris, July 25, 2022, Jeantet has advised the Danish group Ørsted on the acquisition of the French business and portfolio of the German group Ostwind, developer, owner and operator of wind and photovoltaic farms, for an enterprise value of €689 million.

With the acquisition of Ostwind, Ørsted enters the German and French markets and expands its presence in Europe and its Onshore business.

Ørsted is a leader in the Scandinavian energy sector and has become one of the world’s leading energy groups with an installed capacity of 13 GW in 2021, up 15% from 2020. It also has the largest offshore wind farm in the world.

Founded in 1992, the Ostwind group has been a pioneer in the wind energy sector, becoming a key player in the design, construction and operation of wind farms in France and Germany.

The closing of the transaction, which remains subject to certain conditions precedent and regulatory authorizations, is expected in the second half of 2022.
