Paris, 22 septembre 2020 – Jeantet, along with the German Law Firm Noerr, advised PreZero, the environmental branch of the Schwarz Group and one of the European leaders in waste management and recycling, in connection with the acquisition of SUEZ’ Recycling and Recovery activities in Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Poland.

This operation, valued at 1.1 billion euros (Entreprise Value) and excluding the plastics and hazardous waste treatment activities, is expected to increase the number of PreZero employees in Europe and the United States to 10,300.

PreZero and SUEZ also announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding to explore the opportunity to develop strategic partnerships to promote innovative waste management solutions and accelerate the development of the circular economy in Europe.

The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2021, subject to consultation with employee representative bodies and customary conditions precedent.
