Ivón Hernández has over fifteen years of experience in the practice of Intellectual Property, making her a highly recognized lawyer in Guatemala and abroad. She joined the ARIAS team in 2014 and has since been a key player in the development of our Intellectual Property practice.
Ivón's legal advice focuses on matters related to trademarks, geographical indications, patents, copyrights, intellectual property legal audits, advertising, data protection, and consumer protection. Additionally, she has extensive experience in civil and criminal intellectual property litigation, including anti-piracy actions.
Ivón has been recognized by prestigious legal directories such as World Trademark Review, Chambers and Partners Latin America, and The Legal 500, where she has been highlighted as a Next Generation Partner. She is also an active member of the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI), the International Trademark Association (INTA) on the Unfair Competition Committee, the Intellectual Property Committee of the Guatemalan Chamber of Intellectual Property (CAMPI), and the Intellectual Property Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Guatemala (AMCHAM).
