Hong Kong, 6 September 2017: Boase Cohen & Collins Senior Partner Colin Cohen has welcomed the addition of two new firms to international legal services organisation Ally Law.

Lipa Meir & Co from Israel and Applex of Finland have been formally confirmed as members of the global body, a move which gives BC&C clients enhanced legal services in both jurisdictions.

“Ally Law continues to build its presence around the world and give member firms even greater opportunity for referral business,” said Mr Cohen, who chairs the organisation’s Expansion Committee. “This continuing growth is great news for our clients at Boase Cohen & Collins and underscores our ethos of being a Hong Kong firm with global reach.”

BC&C is Hong Kong’s sole representative in Ally Law, which comprises more than 60 independent law firms in over 40 jurisdictions. The organisation helps clients overcome their international legal and business challenges.

“At BC&C we are already familiar with both firms,” added Mr Cohen. “I met with senior lawyers from Lipa Meir & Co to discuss the possibility of their joining Ally Law when I visited Israel last April and we’re delighted this meeting has proved fruitful. As well, our firm has been working with Applex on a project for the past year and we have developed a close working relationship.

“We have no doubt that both firms will prove excellent and long-lasting additions to the Ally Law roster and will meet the high standards of performance and compliance which the organisation demands. Moving forward, we will continue our expansion drive with a particular focus on Asia Pacific.”

Lipa Meir & Co, headquartered in Tel Aviv, has more than 80 lawyers and offers a full range of civil, corporate and commercial legal services. Helsinki-based Applex is a full service business law firm with a strong focus on corporate transactions, M&A, dispute resolution and real estate transactions.
