Every March 8th, International Women's Day is commemorated to honor the struggle of women for the vindication of their rights, such as participation in society, non-discrimination in the workplace, and equality of conditions.
At Torres Legal, we proudly commemorate this date with our legal, administrative, and operational team, promoting the participation of women in the various services offered by the firm, internal and external events, and the professional development of each of our members. We also raise awareness about gender equality issues.
"International days give us the opportunity to raise awareness among our clients and firm members about topics of great interest, such as human rights, access to technology, and gender equality," says our partner, Raquel Santos.
For our partner, this date is an opportunity to highlight the women in the firm who hold positions of high impact in relation to clients who have sought our services, as well as for their personal and professional achievements to date.
"At Torres Legal, we have a great team of professional women who show their commitment and desire for self-improvement every day. We recognize their strength, perseverance, and wisdom that characterize them," said Santos.
Our associate lawyer, Rebeca Galdámez, expresses that the fight for gender equality has been present at different moments in history and has inspired figures from all fields, disciplines, and especially in the legal profession.
"The participation of women in law has evolved from an aspiration to a reality. International Women's Day is further evidence of the universality of this cause and our contribution to building a more equitable society," confesses our lawyer.
Galdámez highlights the work of our partner, Raquel Santos; our associates Fátima Rivera, Daniela Deras, Adalicia Torres; our lawyers Fátima Espinal, Evelyn Molina, Paola Ávila, Chrystal Reyes, Daniela Bonilla; and our administrative team comprised of Isabel Bado, Ana Andrade, Vanessa Membreño, Dalia Arévalo, Karina Blanco, and Gloria Lemus.
"Without them, Torres Legal would not have experienced this tremendous growth and would not have alongside them individuals with great experience and training in their respective roles," she concludes.
Torres Legal once again sends a special greeting to all women in El Salvador and within our firm.
