Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm represented State Enterprise Antonov in negotiations with the Kyiv Watch Factory on a license agreement for the use of ANTONOV TM in the production of KLEYNOD watches.
This is a rather rare case in Ukraine of granting by the state-owned enterprise a permission to use its trademark to a private company.
Firm’s Intellectual Property team led by Counsel Oleksandr Padalka supported the process of transferring permission to use the trademark and design elements of aircraft parts in the design of watches, provided all the necessary examinations, accompanied the preparation and conclusion of the license agreement and other related documents on the project.
New brand Antonov Watches by Kleynod is created for professional pilots, amateur pilots and Antonov flight enthusiasts around the world. The brand was officially presented as part of events dedicated to 100th anniversary of Kyiv Aviation Plant on board of Antonov AN-225 Mriya – the largest aircraft in the world by weight, length and wingspan.
