BOSTON (October 7, 2021) – Shari A. Levitan, a partner in Holland & Knight's Boston office, was named Wealth Management Lawyer of the Year by Euromoney Legal Media Group at its Women in Business Law (WiBL) 2021 Americas Awards ceremony on Sept. 29. The WiBL Americas Lawyer of the Year awards are based primarily on the role an individual played in influential cases. Judges also consider the individual's advocacy, influence and thought leadership over the preceding year.
Ms. Levitan chairs Holland & Knight's New England Private Wealth Services Group and is widely regarded as an authority on wealth and tax planning and business succession planning matters. Her work involves counseling high-net-worth individuals, developing and implementing tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies that are consistent with their personal philosophies and objectives, advising private company owners and public company executives in business matters related to their personal planning, and representing institutions and individuals who serve as trustees in disputes with co-fiduciaries and beneficiaries. Ms. Levitan is a fellow with the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and serves on the Task Force on Estate Planning and Family Law.
Additionally, Holland & Knight Partner Vivian de las Cuevas-Diaz was shortlisted as a finalist for the Real Estate Lawyer of the Year award, Andrea Darling de Cortes was a finalist for the Tax Lawyer of the Year award, and Anita Mosner was a finalist for the Aviation Lawyer of the Year award.
Winners of the WiBL 2021 Americas Awards were selected based on research by the Euromoney Legal Media Group staff, which includes interviews with leading female practitioners across multiple areas of the law and jurisdictions.
