Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that aviation finance Partner Phillip Durham has been recognized as a 2017 “Rising Star” in transportation law by Law360.

According to the legal news service, Mr. Durham “has advised major aviation finance transactions including a $1.2 billion aircraft securitization for BBAM Aircraft Management LP and a $330 million aircraft engine securitization for GE Capital Aviation Services, earning him a spot as one of five transportation law practitioners under age 40 honored by Law360 as Rising Stars.”

Mr. Durham’s practice focuses on domestic and cross-border asset-based financing, leasing, acquisitions, sales and securitizations, with a particular emphasis on aviation and equipment finance in Latin America. His client roster includes some of the biggest names in aviation finance, for which he has handled billions of dollars of transactions around the globe, including Airline Economics’ debt deal of the year, Airfinance Journal’s capital markets deal of the year and North American deal of the year, and Jane’s Transport Finance’s aviation deal of the year.

Law360’s “Rising Stars” are attorneys under the age of 40 whose legal accomplishments transcend their age. After reviewing more than 1,200 submissions for the 2017 “Rising Star” distinction, Law360’s team of editors arrived at a final list of 156 "Rising Stars" hailing from 75 law firms and spanning 35 practice areas.
