July 2017 - Gallo Barrios Pickmann Abogados, as part of the combination process with Dentons, the world´s largest firm, launches two new practices: Criminal Law and Compliance. Marcello Croci and Claudio Cajina, who also join as partners of the firm, will lead a team of seven outstanding professionals.
Marcello Croci has a Master's Degree in Criminal Law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru. He has been a lawyer in legal proceedings representing important companies and national and international entities. He is also a Member of the Institute of Criminal Law Sciences.
Claudio Cajina has a Master's Degree in Procedural Law and Dispute Resolution by the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas and the Institute for Executive Development (Spain). He has a Specialization in International Relations from the Universidad Miguel de Cervantes (Chile) and in Criminal Law by the Peruvian Institute of Business Law. During his professional career he has participated as a sponsor lawyer in important judicial and arbitration proceedings.
The criminal law team will also have the support of Diego Abeo, who joins the firm as Senior Associate. Abeo studied law at the University of Lima. He has a Master's Degree in Criminal Law from the University of Seville and a specialization in Mining and Law by the National Society of Mining, Oil and Energy. In addition to the aforementioned incorporations, José Miguel Cárdenas joins as a counselor of the Dispute Resolution practice, along with Claudio Cajina and Giancarlo Mandriotti, will be in charge of litigation and arbitration proceedings. José Miguel has a master's degree in Civil Law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru and during his professional career has participated as a sponsoring lawyer in judicial and arbitration proceedings of great magnitude.
The combination with Dentons, which is expected to launch in October 2017, positions Gallo Barrios Pickmann to provide high-quality legal services, more practices and access to the experience and talent of thousands of lawyers from more than 60 countries.
