LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS (September 9, 2020) – Friday, Eldredge & Clark is proud to announce the hiring of Isabel Thoma and Julio R. Olaya Jr.

Thoma joins the firm’s Rogers office where she will practice in the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group. Her practice will include all aspects of business mergers and acquisitions, including structuring, due diligence, negotiation and documentation.

In addition, Thoma will handle aspects of commercial litigation matters, from pre-litigation evaluation to drafting pleadings, engaging in targeted discovery and motion practice to trial and appeal.

Her practice will also include working with clients who seek new financing sources. She will work to develop the most cost-effective structure and work with lenders, issuers, underwriters, credit enhancers, and servicers on innovative transactions, as well as routine financings where controlling costs is essential.

Thoma joins the firm after recently graduating from the University of Arkansas School of Law. A native of Siloam Springs, she earned her undergraduate degree in business administration from Arkansas Tech University in 2015.

Olaya joins the firm’s Little Rock office where he will work primarily on issues related to medical malpractice and will assist clients with labor and employment issues.

Olaya recently graduated from Boston University School of Law where he served as a student attorney in the Immigrants’ Rights Program.

A native of Little Rock and graduate of Pulaski Academy, Olaya has a bachelor’s degree in economics and public policy from Southern Methodist University in 2017.
