Fenech Farrugia Fiott Legal are proud to announce again the publication of the Malta
chapter in the prestigious publication- The Transport Finance Law Review. The publication is international in scope and is designed to provide industry insights to transport finance in each of the key jurisdictions in which ships, rolling stock and aircraft are financed.

Historically, asset finance has always been in the form of bank debts but this is no longer
sustainable or sufficient to meet the ever-increasing demands of the rail, shipping, and aviation sectors. These have developed to become trillion-dollar industries and legal practitioners have had to adapt and respond by offering clients a wider and more flexible set of legal skills and solutions than before.

The Malta Chapter was compiled by Partners Tonio Fenech  and Christian Farrugia , with the assistance of the law firm Associates, who provided an in-depth analysis of the changes in the local landscape over the recent years and how this has affected transport asset finance.

Particular attention was given to developments in the legislative framework, financial regulation affecting lenders and any notable recent or pending financing cases in the Maltese courts.

Anyone wishing to obtain an electronic copy of the Malta Chapter, or if you wish to
discuss these developments with us, you may contact us on [email protected].
