March, 2020. In the last months, EY Law won the bidding for important infrastructure projects in Guatemala's north triangule. Its participation in the Guatemalan market as a leading firm for those infrastructure projects is highly relevant.

Since 2018, the firm participates as legal adviser of feasibility study projects and the modernization of La Aurora International Airport.  This project is value at an amount of $100,000 USD.

EY Law is also advising the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE in Spanish) on the identification of the second generation of projects according to their nature. They can be implemented under the public-private partnership framework through the National Agency of Partnerships for the Development of Economic Infrastructure (ANADIE in Spanish). This project has an estimated 18-months duration.

Its sector experience and collaborative approach helps EY to be the strategic advisor on projects such as the road structuration project that will interconect several zones in Guatemala City that currently have cirtical mobility problems. The advisory implies a legal opinion on the feasibility of a multi-million project that involves a  regulatory, property analysis and business structuring.This project started on October, 2019 and it is estimated to end in march, 2020.

Another project is AeroMetro, which consists of creating a public aerial cable transportation system to improve the mobility and the quality of life for current citizens and future generations. It also includes EY’s participation in several stages of this project to provide legal advisory, risk analysis, document preparation, closing financial management, among others. This project started in February 2020, and it is expected to be completed in May 2020.
