International law firm Gianni & Origoni appoints Partners Elisabetta Gardini and Teodora Marocco as co-heads of the Environmental Law Department. The appointment follows the imminent ending of former head of the department Antonella Capria's relationship with the firm as the statutory limits for the partnership have been reached.
Elisabetta Gardini and Teodora Marocco, already Partners of the department for several years, have gained, in over more than 20 years of collaboration, a great deal of experience in the field of environmental law, following cases of national and international relevance, both in and out of court, as well as assisting primary operators in all the main industrial sectors in particular in the oil and energy, chemical and pharmaceutical, steel and cement production and manufacturing sectors in general. They have also advised on environmental liabilities, remediation proceedings, environmental impact assessments, environmental permits, waste regulations, and project development.
GOP's Environmental Law team, which Elisabetta Gardini and Teodora Marocco will co-manage, is one of the most numerous and structured firms in Italy, and is composed of a well-established group of professionals who are specialists in the field, with varying seniority and experience.
The firm would like to thank Antonella Capria for her contribution in leading the Environmental Law department and wishes the new managers well.
Antonio Auricchio and Rosario Zaccà, Co-Managing Partners of GOP, stated: "We are proud of these new appointments. These promotions highlight our ability to enhance in-house expertise while continuing to guarantee clients the highest quality of assistance and the best professional experience, combined with high specialization in a key area such as environmental law."
