Elena Sokolovskaya, Head of Pepeliaev Group’s Antitrust Practice, has been elected to the firm's partnership.

Elena has over 20 years of experience in advising on antitrust, advertising, public procurement and foreign investments legislation as well as on other issues falling within the competence of the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) and the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). She has an extensive track record of holding antitrust audits, implementing compliance and providing support to clients during scheduled and unscheduled inspections conducted by the antitrust authority. She represents clients before the FAS, the EEC and in court in all cases within the competence of the FAS and the EEC.

Elena is a member of the Competition Experts Association, of the not-for-profit partnership “Competition Support in the CIS Countries”, of the Association of European Businesses, of the FAS’s Expert Panel for Promoting Competition in the Social Sphere and Healthcare, of the FAS’s Expert Panel for Promoting Competition in the Retail Sector, of the Competition Committee of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and of the EEC’s Consultative Committee for Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation, Price Controls, and Public (Municipal) Procurement.

One of her clients whose feedback was cited in the 2018 Chambers Europe legal rating lauded Elena’s “attention to detail and high speed of work”. Another observer pointed to her experience as an senior official in the FAS, noting that: "She could tell us a great deal about how the FAS works in practice."
