DGKV acted as a Bulgarian legal counsel to UniCredit Bank Austria AG as agent, as well as the syndicate of lenders comprised of UniCredit Bulbank AD, Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria EAD and Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich Aktiengesellschaft for the EUR 100 million facility to Kronospan Bulgaria EOOD. Kronospan is a leading international manufacturer of wood-based panels with operations in 30 jurisdictions and with over 40 production sites and 16 distribution centres. The facility agreement, governed by Austrian law, covered several tranches of financing for the purpose of refinancing of existing loans and investment in a production plant in Veliko Tarnovo. DGKV’s team advised on the Bulgarian law aspects of the financing of the Bulgarian borrower as well as the structuring and preparing the security documents governed by Bulgarian law.
