Madrid, 11th July, 2017 - Dentons, the world's largest law firm, has announced the promotion of Julio Parrilla to partner in Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy, and José Ramón Vizcaino to partner in Tax.  Both new partners are based in the Madrid office. With these elevations, the Firm now has 11 partners in Spain.

Julio Parrilla leads Dentons’ Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy practice in Spain. He began his professional career at Salans (now Dentons) in 2007.

His main areas of practice are insolvency, dispute resolution and arbitration. In terms of insolvency, Julio has advised on numerous proceedings, defending the interests of insolvent entities and creditors in all aspects that affect the process, including negotiations of bankruptcy and pre-bankruptcy agreements with creditors, liquidation, rating and the execution of separate guarantees. Julio also has significant experience advising on investment deals in distressed companies, acquisitions of assets or productive units and investments in debt portfolios.

José Ramón Vizcaino joined Dentons in 2013, and prior to that, he worked in the M&A Tax department of KPMG. He has more than 15 years of experience in tax, especially in M&A transactions, tax planning, international taxation, and the tax aspects of restructuring. He provides tax advice to Spanish and international companies, with a particular focus on the real estate, energy, telecommunication, risk capital and investment funds sectors.
