Dentons has advised Enterprise Investors, one of the largest private equity firms in Central and Eastern Europe, on the financing of the acquisition by one of its funds of a significant minority share in Advanced Protection Systems (APS), the largest Polish independent manufacturer of state-of-the-art radars and comprehensive anti-drone systems. The financing was provided by Bank Pekao.  


With the support of Enterprise Investors, APS plans to sustain its dynamic growth and accelerate the development of its technological, manufacturing and organizational capabilities.  

Dentons provided Enterprise Investors with assistance in negotiating and executing of the finance documents, which required advice in relation to Polish, English and Luxembourgish law.


The cross-border project was led by counsel Paweł Długoborski and supervised by partner Bartosz Nojek with assistance from Aleksandra Czyż (senior associate), Mateusz Ciechomski (associate) and Daria Dąbrowska (associate) from the Banking and Finance team in Warsaw. Partner Mark Segall advised on the English law aspects of the transaction. The team also included Stephane Hadet (partner), Christophe Renaudin (counsel), Yifan Zhang (senior associate) and Arnida Alija (associate) in Luxembourg.


Enterprise Investors has been active since 1990 and has raised ten funds. These funds have invested and committed €2.2 billion in 155 companies and exited from their investments in 137 companies.
