De Pardieu Brocas Maffei has advised the Looping Group, European leader in the regional leisure park market, on the acquisition of the Terra Botanica leisure park, the first plants and biodiversity park in Europe.

On 31 January 2025, the Looping Group, European leader in the regional leisure park market, pursued its expansion with the acquisition of the Terra Botanica park.

The Terra Botanica park, the iconic theme park of the “Pays de la Loire” region, welcomed more than 550.000 visitors in 2024 and entered France TOP 10 theme parks in terms of attendance.

This acquisition enables the Looping Group to reinforce its implantation in the northwest of France, and to create a strategic platform together with Zoo de la Flèche, Planète Sauvage, Mini Chateau and Aquarium de Touraine, the group’s complementary regional parks.

The group plans to inject 59 million euros over ten years as from 2025 to enhance the attractivity of the park.

This transaction further strengthens the leading position of the Looping Group, which now has 9 parks in France and 20 parks in Europe. It has a total potential of around 7 million visitors per year, with a turnover of more than 220 million euros per year.
