La Poste Immobilier, the real estate company of La Poste group, has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Sergic Résidence Services, a real estate services group, for the conversion of former postal sites into serviced student residences. The first assets concerned are located in Courbevoie (Hauts-de-Seine), Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) and Levallois-Perret (Hauts-de-Seine). They represent a total of 511 student housing units with a surface area of approximately 11,000 sq.m. Under this agreement, Sergic will be responsible for the development and operation of the residences, which are expected to become operational by 2030. The residences will be marketed under the “Twenty Campus” brand.
This transaction is in line with La Poste Immobilier’s strategy intended to enhance the value of its real estate portfolio and develop student residence projects, following transactions already undertaken in the senior living residences segment. It also addresses the growing demand for student accommodation in France’s major urban areas.
