1.      Deal description

Guerrero Olivos represented Compañía General de Electricidad (“CGE”), leading company in the energy sector in Chile, in an arbitration proceeding against Colbún, and in a civil lawsuit against Enel Generación Chile S.A. (“Enel”). Both disputes addressed the same issues, involved the most relevant parties in the market, and our team obtained successful results for our client.

Our arbitration and litigation team, led by partners Sergio Yávar and Benjamín Ferrada, allowed the parties to reach a settlement agreement, by means of which the counterparties withdrew their lawsuits. These were two complex procedures that required a deep understanding of the energy legal framework.
