Carmigniani Pérez Abogados advised three major banks in Ecuador, Banco Bolivariano, Banco Produbanco and Banco Internacional, in the sale of their shares in a leading credit card processing company called Credimatic.

The buyer in this international transaction was the spanish company Minsait Payment Systems of the Indra group, which will complement its portfolio of services for the integral management of payment methods.

This transaction had a high level of complexity due to the technical component of the service provided by Credimatic, as well as the involvement of three of the main banks in Ecuador, a strictly regulated sector.

The Carmigniani Pérez Abogados team was lead by founder partner Pedro M. Pérez, who leads the M&A practice in the firm. Other partners involved were Roxana Aguirre and Daniel Dziouba.
