Flavio Yoshida and Lucas Luna join the firm’s partnership
BVA – Barreto Veiga Advogados announces the admission of two new partners to the partnership: Flavio Yoshida, in the Tax practice, and Lucas Luna, in Secondment.
Flavio’s arrival marks a strategic step in the consolidation and further expansion of the firm’s Tax practice, which has experienced substantial growth over the past three years. With more than 20 years of experience and recognised by Chambers and Partners as one of Brazil’s leading tax advisers, Flavio assumes leadership of the practice, reinforcing our position at a pivotal moment in the implementation of Brazil’s tax reform.
“It is a great satisfaction to join BVA, one of Brazil’s most respected law firms. I join the firm to contribute to its expansion strategy, with a focus on the tax practice, which has recorded significant growth in recent years, particularly in advisory services,” Flavio said.
Lucas Luna joins the partnership through our Partner Tracking program, launched in 2023 to identify and develop professionals closely aligned with the firm’s long-term growth strategy. Over recent years, Lucas has served as both an associate and coordinator within the Secondment practice, and now becomes the second partner promoted through the program. As a partner, he will continue to co-lead the Secondment practice alongside Gustavo Quedevez, who also heads BVA’s Corporate practice.
“My mission is to expand our Secondment practice, which places the firm’s professionals directly within clients’ organisations to handle their legal demands exclusively, in strategic collaboration with professionals from other practice areas,” Lucas said.
With this expansion, the firm now comprises nine partners — an important institutional milestone that underscores our strategy of sustainable growth and reinforces our positioning as a business-oriented, full-service firm focused on strategy and results.
“The admission of Flavio Yoshida and Lucas Luna to the partnership reflects our commitment to the firm’s sustainable growth and strengthens our full-service, business-oriented approach, focused on strategy and results, expanding the delivery of solutions that go beyond expectations,” said Felipe Barreto Veiga, founding partner and Managing Partner of BVA.
