BOYANOV & Co. advised Eurobank Bulgaria AD on the merger procedure under which Eurobank Bulgaria AD absorbed its newly acquired subsidiary Piraeus Bank Bulgaria AD (the “Merger”).
The firm had also played an important role in the acquisition by Eurobank Bulgaria AD from Piraeus Bank SA of the shareholding stake of 99.98% in Piraeus Bank Bulgaria AD, which was successfully closed in June 2019.
BOYANOV & Co. provided guidance and support on all stages of the Merger procedure, including in obtaining clearance for the Merger from the Bulgarian National Bank, which issued its decision on 15 October 2019. On 12 November 2019, the Merger was successfully registered with the Bulgarian Commercial Register.
The successful and timely completion of all procedures in the Merger was also due to the intensive and smooth cooperation BOYANOV & Co. had with the internal legal department of Eurobank Bulgaria AD and all its other internal units involved.
