Bernitsas acted as Greek law counsel to Eurobank in connection with the issuance and offering to institutional investors of its new €700m Fixed Rate Reset Senior Preferred Instruments due 2032 (Notes). The Notes were listed on the Euro MTF Market of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
The level of interest in the transaction resulted in a final demand of approximately €2.7bn representing an oversubscription of about 3.9 times. The proceeds from the issue of the Notes will support Eurobank Group’s strategy to ensure continued compliance with the Minimum Requirements for Own Funds and Eligible Liabilities (MREL) and will be used for Eurobank’s general business purposes.
