Beccar Varela advised Skydance Media in its merger with Paramount Global to create New Paramount, a new leading media and technology company valued at US$28 billion. The agreement was signed on July 7, and the transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2025.
New Paramount will be a premier, creative-first destination for storytellers, dedicated to top-quality content and positioned to improve profitability, foster stability and independence for creators, and enable greater investment in growth areas.
Beccar Varela advised Skydance in Argentina, handling due diligence and providing legal assistance in drafting the transaction documents, as well as regarding the regulatory permits and framework. Latham & Watkins coordinated the transaction in the different jurisdictions.
