Hong Kong, 15 June 2017: Boase Cohen & Collins is delighted to announce it is expanding its community outreach efforts by assisting Hong Kong’s biggest charity golf tournament.

The firm has signed up to be a Supporting Sponsor of the WAGS (Wednesday Afternoon Golf Society) Charity Golf Day 2017, which will be held at Kau Sai Chau Public Course on 1 December.

“We entered a team in last year’s tournament and saw for ourselves what a fantastic event it is. This year, we are pleased to step up our involvement with a significant sponsorship package in addition to entering a team once again,” said BC&C Senior Partner Colin Cohen.

“We have supported a number of charities through sporting and community activities in the past couple of years, including Giving Bread, the Po Leung Kuk, the Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children, Raleigh Hong Kong and Rotary International. We are delighted to include the WAGS Charity Golf Day in this growing list.”

Under the sponsorship agreement, the tricky par-three 13th on Kau Sai Chau’s East Course will be named the “Boase Cohen & Collins Beat the Pro Hole” with prizes on offer for any player who can get their tee shot nearer to the pin than the resident professional player. In addition, BC&C will give an overall prize for the day’s closest shot.

Last year’s WAGS Charity Golf Day welcomed 144 players to Kau Sai Chau and raised more than HK$600,000 for the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation, which will again be the beneficiary this year.

The Foundation helps underprivileged children and those at-risk of commercial or sexual exploitation. Operational centres in Vietnam and Mongolia provide shelter to vulnerable, orphaned or abandoned children while ensuring they have direct access to education, healthcare and social and employment opportunities.
