As of March 13, 2023, Martín Michaus, who has been a Partner of the firm since 1993 and with a brilliant career of 43 years, retires as Partner and will serve as "Of Counsel" of Basham, Ringe y Correa, S.C.

 

Since joining the firm, Martín developed a successful professional career in the Intellectual Property practice, and with solid leadership, he consolidated the confidence of clients in the attention to their matters. He has participated in various national and international professional associations in the IP field, such as the Mexican Bar Association (BMA), the National Association of Business Lawyers (ANADE), INTA, FICPI, ATRIP, and GLIPA. He chaired the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI), the Mexican Group of AIPPI, and the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI) of which he was appointed Honorary President. He is an Arbitrator for the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in matters of Trademark Conflict vs. Domain Names.

 

He has been recognized for his dedication and commitment to different organizations, he received different recognitions from AIPPI, Abogadas.MX and by "Revista Abogacía" for being one of the 25 Essential Lawyers in Mexico, among others. He constantly appears in different specialized rankings such as "Chambers", "Legal 500", "IP Stars", "Managing IP", and "WTR 1000" among others.
