BarentsKrans welcomes Jan de Heer as partner in Public Law & Regulatory. Nanne Kusters, Senior Associate, is also joining the firm. Their arrival strengthens BarentsKrans’ public law, regulatory and enforcement practice and supports the firm’s broader strategy to be the leading independent Dutch full-service for the corporate market.
Jan de Heer ualified as a lawyer in 2013 and joins from Loyens & Loeff. He has a broad regulatory practice, specialising in general administrative law and administrative procedure, with a particular focus on environmental and planning law and energy law. Stronger support in an increasingly regulated environment
With the arrival of Jan de Heer, BarentsKrans is further expanding its public law, regulatory and enforcement practice. The firm already has substantial administrative law expertise but aims to further strengthen its enforcement and environmental and planning law practice so that it can support clients even more effectively in an increasingly regulated environment.
Joost Fanoy, managing partner of BarentsKrans, is pleased with the expansion of the team: “Clients’ needs are increasingly driven by regulatory oversight and enforcement. With Jan, we are bringing in a partner who knows this dynamic inside out. This enables us to support clients more quickly and more effectively, from strategy and compliance to proceedings.”
