(Singapore, December 1, 2023) Bae, Kim & Lee LLC ("BKL", Managing Partner: Dongwoo Seo) announced that the firm held a second-anniversary ceremony and seminar at the Asian Civilisations Museum in Singapore.
The event, attended by over 150 participants, including attorney Eric Eunyong Yang and foreign attorney Evan Teo both stationed at BKL’s Singapore office, BKL’s senior advisor Kyungwook Hur and managing partner Sky Yang, marked a significant success. Also present were entrepreneurs who have ventured into Singapore, and representatives from local law firms.
During his opening address, Sky Yang stated, “Singapore has recently emerged as a new base for the Asian market and has been attracting a lot of attention. BKL’s Singapore office will comprehensively and systematically support local transactions for Korean companies as a bridgehead for the expansion of BKL’s business in Asia by cooperating organically with the Seoul head office and seven overseas branch offices.”
During the seminar, presentations were given by attorney Jeena Kim, foreign attorney Jiyoung Sohn, attorney Juho Yoon and senior advisor Kyungwook Hur on the topics of compliance, personal information protection, virtual assets, Korean economy and regulatory trends, etc.
BKL officially established its Singapore office in August 2021.This year, the firm celebrates its second anniversary. The Singapore office has recently relocated to the Singapore Millenia Tower. Eric Eunyong Yang, who leads BKL's Asia Team, oversees the Singapore office. Mr. Yang has advised Korean companies in various areas, including investment, mergers and acquisitions, construction, real property, financial transactions, and dispute resolution throughout Southeast Asia for the past 17 years. Additionally, the team has enhanced its local expertise by recruiting Evan Teo, a foreign attorney with Singapore qualifications and experience.
