Our attorney in charge of the Intellectual Property Department, Fátima Espinal, has been admitted as an Active Member of the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property, an organization dedicated to bringing together and representing individuals involved in this field.

Intellectual Property and Industrial Property is one of the fastest-growing practices at Torres Legal. The cases handled by our firm have led us to join international legal associations.

For our attorney, being part of an association is important for legal professionals and their development in the international market. Additionally, there are greater benefits for clients and the formation of new alliances with legal firms from other nations.

"Being part of ASIPI is an important step in my professional growth and that of the firm. The Intellectual Property Department will strengthen its network of key contacts and set a precedent for our clients in El Salvador and beyond," stated Fátima Espinal.

To be admitted, Espinal had to undergo a rigorous process, starting with submitting an application form along with two references from Salvadoran lawyers who are ASIPI members. The Executive Committee then evaluates the provided data.

Thanks to this membership, our specialist will be able to participate in various seminars, conferences, congresses, and roundtable discussions where she can engage with renowned experts in the field.

Espinal will also have the opportunity to join ASIPI's Working Committees, which cover over 30 areas of Intellectual Property, such as Anti-Piracy, Competition, Copyright, Industrial Designs, Data Protection, Franchising, New Technologies, Advertising, Fashion Law, and Sports Law.

"The active participation of the Association and its Members in different international and national forums results in hundreds of personal contacts for the benefit of the Members and their firms or companies. It is worth noting the large number of Latin American members of ASIPI, whose presence in the Association becomes highly attractive for professionals and companies from other continents," states the admission application description.

Our attorney will also have access to ASIPI's digital and print publications, as well as the opportunity to contribute to their materials through opinion articles that can be disseminated through the association's various communication channels.
