Arzinger's team has successfully represented the client, one of the largest international producers of fat and oil products, in the process of pre-trial appeal of tax charges in the amount of over UAH 55 million.
Based on the results of a scheduled tax audit, the tax authority concluded that the client had committed a number of tax violations. In particular, according to the tax authority, the client unlawfully accrued exchange rate differences as a result of the return of an advance payment to a non-resident against which no goods were supplied.
Arzinger's experts managed to achieve a complete cancellation of the tax charges at the pre-trial stage without going to court, which, given the complexity and amount of the matter, is a rather unique result for Ukraine.
