Berlin, Frankfurt am Main, Munich, 14 January 2026 – Annerton Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH has appointed Kemal Ahmedi and Josefine Spengler as partners. “It is always something special when we can welcome colleagues from within our own ranks into our circle of partners. With Kemal Ahmedi and Josefine Spengler, we are gaining two outstanding personalities who will enrich our firm both professionally and strategically and will play a key role in shaping its development in the coming years,” explains Dr. Susanne Grohé, founding partner and managing director of Annerton Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH.

“Kemal Ahmedi has been with us since Annerton was founded and helped establish our Berlin office. He has developed from a young professional to a partner and has acquired in-depth expertise, especially in the field of crypto. His skills as a trainer are also outstanding,” explains Grohé. “Josefine Spengler is our expert for IT requirements in regulated and digitally-driven business models. She is confidently navigating the interface between IT, regulation and law, speaks the language of technology and translates complex IT issues precisely into robust legal solutions. Thanks to her many years of in-house experience, she combines regulatory expertise with a keen understanding of practical processes,” Grohé continues.

Partner Kemal Ahmedi focuses his consulting activities on the area of conflict between payment and crypto, as well as on terms and conditions, contracts, e-commerce and consumer credit law. Based in Berlin, he advises companies in the payment services, credit and finance, and blockchain industries. “At Annerton, I was encouraged and supported from the very beginning, which helped me improve my skills and develop new ones. At the same time, I am given the freedom to discover my own path and follow it step by step,” emphasises Ahmedi. The lawyer, who has been listed several times by The Legal 500, plans to further expand Annerton’s crypto division and promote the interface between payment and crypto.

As a specialist lawyer for IT law, partner Josefine Spengler focuses on advising on regulatory and data protection requirements for IT systems, data processing procedures and digital business models of payment and financial service providers. Based in Berlin, she advises regulated companies in the financial sector as well as their IT and other service providers on regulatory issues such as the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). “Moving to Annerton was one of the best decisions of my life. Here, I can focus consistently on IT law issues and work in an environment characterised by professional excellence, diverse mandates and different perspectives,” says Spengler. “In addition to the exciting topics, I particularly appreciate the people at Annerton. The atmosphere is informal, open and characterised by genuine collegiality – that’s very special.”
