Albert Mestres has been appointed partner of Toda & Nel-lo. The lawyer has been promoted to partner of the Tax Law department, one of the strategic areas of the firm and one that has experienced the greatest growth in recent years.
The new partner of Toda & Nel-lo, who until his appointment worked as counsel, will continue to be in charge of the International Tax and Operations practice, his area of specialization, leading a team that has also been strengthened.
Albert Mestres brings to his new position twenty years of experience in advising clients on tax matters with an international component. He specializes in providing tax advice on international mobility, both for companies and individuals, as well as in tax planning for executive remuneration in multinationals and start-ups or scale-ups. He also has extensive experience in transactional taxation, having advised on numerous business investment and divestment operations in Spain, as well as on financial restructuring and real estate investments.
A graduate of Rovira i Virgili University, Albert Mestres holds a full-time master's degree in Tax Consultancy and Management (AGT) from ESADE. He also completed the PhD program in Economic and Business Law at ESADE, having combined his professional practice with teaching on law degrees and master's degrees in Access to the Legal Profession.
