Abogabir Miranda represented the largest international operator of the renewable energy sector in a domestic arbitration in Chile, under the rules of CAM Santiago.

Santiago de Chile, December 2021.- Abogabir Miranda, through Nicolás Miranda Larraguibel and Diego Abogabir Egaña, represented -as respondent- the largest international operator of the renewable energy sector in a domestic arbitration in Chile, under the rules of the Arbitration Center and Mediation (CAM) of Santiago.

Claimant sought damages for more than USD $600.000, related to the development of a well-known Wind Farm.

This Wind Farm is the first wind project to be built in Chile on precast reinforced concrete towers. Abogabir Miranda’s client developed two wind projects in the South of Chile, with a joint capacity of 267 megawatts.

Claimant alleged that Respondent owed more than USD $600.000 for unpaid completed work. Respondent filed a counter claim for USD $600.000 alleging the breach of the construction contract.

The arbitration was concluded and Abogabir Miranda secured a favorable outcome for its client, negotiating a mutual release and settlement agreement.
