On June 17, Moye White’s Real Estate Section hosted an online event, A Legal Perspective on the Real Estate Industry: A Conversation on the Impacts of COVID 19. The event answered an essential question: Has COVID-19 halted the significant growth the real estate market has experienced in the last several years, especially in Denver?

Panelists also shared recent real estate trends, including those relating to leasing, development, financing, acquisitions and dispositions, litigation, and bankruptcy.

Moderated by Jennifer Stenman, partner and co-chair of the Real Estate Section, the panel also featured managing partner Tom List, partners Eric Snyder – co-chair of the Real Estate Section – Dominick Sekich, Merc Pittinos, and Tim Swanson, and associate Chelsea Brune. As a group, the team discussed how they – and their clients – navigated the challenges thrown at the real estate industry by a global pandemic.

While the real estate market is busy responding to shelter-in-place orders, social distancing requirements, and new office space considerations, the real estate team partners with clients to address each of these changes. During the live presentation, the team shared the differing approaches and responses clients have to the constant change.
