Hong Kong, 25 October: Celebrations were in order at the High Court in Admiralty on Saturday as Boase Cohen & Collins duo Kristie Wong and Stephanie Lai were admitted as Solicitors in Hong Kong.
The pair were joined by their families, friends and BC&C staff who turned out in force to witness the formal ceremony inside the court building and join in the happy scenes outside.
“Recruiting and nurturing talented young legal professionals is a Boase Cohen & Collins tradition and Saturday’s ceremony means we have now seen eight solicitors admitted in the past three years,” said Senior Partner Colin Cohen.
“Kristie and Stephanie have been excellent additions to our team since they joined us as trainees just over two years ago and we are confident they will be outstanding Assistant Solicitors for our firm. We hope they will both enjoy lengthy and successful careers with Boase Cohen & Collins.”
Kristie came to BC&C after completing a double-degree programme offered by the University of Hong Kong, graduating as a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Government and Laws) and a Bachelor of Laws, before studying for her Postgraduate Certificate in Laws.
Stephanie was initially a paralegal in a boutique personal injury law firm in Canada before deciding to pursue a legal career in Hong Kong, where she completed her Juris Doctor degree and Postgraduate Certificate in Laws at City University.
