Pierre is a Partner in the Antitrust & Foreign Investment team of Linklaters in Paris, specialising in EU and French competition law. Pierre is ranked in Band 1 by Chambers and was granted by Global Competition Review the award of merger case of the year in 2022 and of behavioural case of the year in 2014. He advises on complex competition issues, including merger control, cartels, vertical restraints, abuses of dominant position, damage claims and State aid. A former administrative judge, Pierre graduated from ENA, Sciences Po Paris the ESCP; he also earned PhDs in philosophy of law (Sorbonne) and in economics (EHESS). Pierre published books on the oil & gas sector, on the French and European Institutions and is in charge of the French chapter of the European cartel Digest. Pierre teaches competition law at HEC, the French prominent business school and at Panthéon-Assas (Paris II) University. Pierre is Vice-President of the association of competition law for private practice lawyers (the « APDC »).
