"Mr. Jolivet's practice covers the full range of labor and employment law issues on a national, as well as an international level, with particular emphasis on complex reorganizations, employment law issues in conjunction with mergers & acquisitions, works councils and trade unions, European Works Council, collective bargaining agreements, collective dismissals for economic reasons and related disputes, litigation on employee representatives’ elections and trade union representatives, employer’s criminal liability and delegations of powers, structuring of employment-related agreements, as well as the hiring and expatriation of, and separation from, managerial employees.

Career
"Gilles Jolivet joined Baker McKenzie in 1991 and became a Partner in 2001. He has 28 years of practice in Employment Law. He co-manages the Employment law practice, which counts 15 fee-earners in the Paris office. His most prominent area of expertise is in the coordination of cross border and international employment law projects, related in particular to business reorganisations, assistance with key executive separations and mass redundancies.
Mr. Jolivet gives lectures on labour law in the Law Schools of Paris II (Panthéon-Assas) and Montpellier I, and has participated in training sessions on sensitive employment law issues for human resources managers, general managers and chartered accountants. He has also intervened in numerous labor law seminars and conferences, on issues such as illegal lending of employees, employment contracts and statement of the employment relationship, collective bargaining agreements, temporary employment, working time reduction and co-employment.
He has contributed to several CCH publications, on subjects such as Termination, Employment Discrimination, and Workplace Harassment, Trade Unions and Works Councils, Employee Loyalty. He also contributes legal articles to several reputed French labor law publications, such as La Semaine Juridique, RF Social and Jurisprudence Sociale Lamy. "
