Dirk has a broad public law practice with a particular focus on regulated industries, including: energy regulation; M&A transactions and restructurings in the energy sector; infrastructure projects (power plants, pipelines and grids, gas storage); renewable energy projects and regulation; climate change and CCS; health care/life sciences (pharmaceuticals and medical devices regulation, regulatory data protection, reimbursements, statutory health insurance); compliance; data privacy and white collar.
Lecturer, Trier University, 1994-97; joined Hengeler Mueller in 1999; secondment to London law firm 2001-02; partner since 2006.
Member of the Board, Düsseldorf Bar Council; Member of the Advisory Board, University of St. Gallen Law School.
Numerous publications on various regulatory topics, including energy and renewable energy regulation.
