Advises on a variety of contentious and non-contentious shipping matters. Contentious expertise encompasses cases arising from collisions and ship arrests, while other areas of expertise include employment issues, wreck removal and offshore construction matters. Demonstrates further capability in charter party disputes as well as salvage and reflagging work. Successfully represents a wide range of high-profile clients, including P&I clubs, banks and charterers.

Work highlights

Successfully represented West of England P&I and the owners of the MV 'Royal Arsenal' in the resolution of a collision dispute with the General Company for Ports of Iraq. The team also subsequently assisted with the setting aside of an Indian ship arrest order following a second collision, allowing the vessel to be sold for scrap.
